The Notre Dame High School Media Center is a place where a variety of activities occur from reading, to research, to a game of chess. The library/media center is open to students Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Throughout the school day students may use the media center to:
- Find books and periodicals
- Check out and/or renew materials
- Conduct Internet research
- Use one of the media center's 24 computers to complete projects, print, or scan
- Find a quiet place to work and study
The Notre Dame Media Center subscribes to online databases to enhance and expand each student's learning environment. These databases may be accessed from school or home, providing easy access through the Internet.
iCONN - "Connecticut's Search Engine"
iCONN is part of the Connecticut Education Network providing students and faculty with online access to essential library and information resources. iCONN's resources allow students to search "all at once" magazines, journals, newspapers, business and health information, reQuest - the Statewide Library Catalog, and more.
EBSCO Host Research Database
EBSCO is an integrated database service that combines reference databases, subscriptions, online journals, books, and periodicals. Using EBSCO, students may refine their research sources by subject matter, title, or content. |
