Notre Dame High School believes in recognizing those individuals who have, in their own way, made a contribution to the school community or have lived by the ideals of the Notre Dame Code. Begun in 1986, the "Knights of Honor" program is the manifestation of that belief. Its purpose is to pay tribute to and preserve the memory of those individuals who have brought distinction to Notre Dame High School as alumni, faculty and loyal friends of this great institution.
Each year recipients, which may include the deceased, are selected from three categories:
Notre Dame Alumni
Graduates who have brought honor to themselves and to Notre Dame High School. Alumni are generally eligible for induction 10 years after graduating from the school.
Faculty and Staff Members
Past and present faculty or staff members who, through their dedicated service, have made a significant contribution to the students, the School and the Notre Dame community. Candidates must have been faculty or staff members at Notre Dame High School for a minimum of six years.
Loyal Friends of Notre Dame High School
Individuals who have served Notre Dame High School in a special way. |
