Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program – Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased  to continue with their scholarship program for the 12th year, awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year. Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the website scholarship page. For detailed information about the application process, please visit www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.htm. The scholarship deadline is June 14, 2019.

American Italian Women of Greater New Haven ScholarshipThe American Italian Women of Greater New Haven is a volunteer organization whose primary purpose is raising funds for scholarships and charities. It is offering high school seniors, attending a four-year college, scholarships of $750. New Haven area students of Italian descent (maternal and/or paternal lineage) are eligible for this scholarship. Information and application forms are available in the Counseling office. The scholarship deadline is June 1, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by May 17, 2019.

Amity Charitable Trust Fund (ACT) Scholarship – The Amity Club of New Haven’s Charitable Trust Fund’s scholarships have grown consistently over the years, and provided substantial aid to a large number of diverse students entering college. Currently, over 20 students receive awards each year that range from $1,000 to $6,000. High school seniors who reside in East Haven, Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, Orange, West Haven or Woodbridge can apply. Eligibility information and application are available in the School Counseling office, or at www.amityclub.org. The deadline for entry is March 31, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by March 15, 2019.

B. Davis Scholarship – The creators of the “Student Award Search Aid” website are offering a scholarship for 2019.  The amount of Scholarship:  $1,000.  Our website was developed for the purpose of helping students locate and apply for scholarships. For more information, please visit our website at www.studentawardsearch.com/scholarships.htm. The deadline for applications if May 24, 2019.  

Derby Public Library Annual Scholarship – The Derby Public Library is now accepting submissions for its Annual Scholarship Prize of $500. It is open to all high school seniors living in Derby who are planning to further their education, regardless of where they go to school. Applications can be submitted directly to the Library Director. For more information and application, visit www.derbypubliclibrary.org. The scholarship deadline is Monday, April 1, 2019.  Due to your Counselor for processing by March 18, 2019.

Hamden Soccer Association Annual College Scholarship – Hamden Soccer Association will award a scholarship of up to $1000 to a graduating high school senior who has participated in HSA and plans to attend a post-secondary educational institution in the fall. The applicant must have a history of participation in the Hamden Soccer Association as a player and/or referee. It is not necessary that the applicant currently be playing for the HSA or that the applicant plan to play collegiate level soccer. Information and applications are available in the Counseling Office. The scholarship deadline is April 10, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by March 27, 2019.

New Scholarship Program (Discover): We’re excited to announce the launch of the 2018 Scholarship Program. This year entrants have a chance to win $10,000 to help pay for college. High school seniors, current college students and parents are eligible to enter. Orthopaedic Specialty Group Education Foundation ScholarshipThe Group is offering six $2,500 scholarships to anyone who is a resident of New Haven or Fairfield County pursuing post-secondary training (four-year or advanced degree) in a musculoskeletal care related field. The awards will be applied directly toward tuition and educational expenses. For criteria and application, visit www.osgpc.co/education-foundation/. Submission deadline is Friday, May 17, 2019.  Due to your Counselor for processing by April 26, 2019.

The Connecticut Parks Association Dennis Malone Scholarship – The scholarship award program was named in honor of Dennis Malone, past President of the Association and founder of the scholarship program. The scholarship awards are open to applicants who are high school graduating seniors planning to attend an accredited two or four-year college and pursue a career in park management, forestry, horticulture, agronomy, or a closely related field. Scholarships may be awarded up to $1000.  For more information and application, visit www.ctparks.org. Look under “General Info/Dept. Info” and return to Gerard G. The Gloria C. Sandillo Scholarship – The Hamden Democratic Town Committee is sponsoring a scholarship in honor of Gloria C. Sandillo, a long-time party activist. A $500.00 scholarship will be presented to a Hamden resident who is a senior and meets the following criteria: Hamden resident; registered Democrat; background in Community Service. Information and scholarship applications are available in the Counseling Office. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2019. Due to your Counselor by March 18, 2019.

The Kline Family Community Service Scholarship – Honors Ernest, Kenneth and Nancy Kline, three family members affiliated with the University of Connecticut and its Alpha Phi Omega Chapter. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from an accredited Connecticut high school who has been accepted and will attend the University of Connecticut. And the student must have a demonstrated record of community service. For more information and application, visit www.klinefamilyscholarship.org. Applications are due by April 20, 2019. The Lucy Rathbone Elliot Memorial Scholarship – The Arbor Club of Clinton is offering this scholarship of $1000.00, to a graduating senior that is a resident of Clinton. All applicants must be planning to attend a two to four-year college degree program and pursuing a degree in a field of Environmental Science. Application forms are available in the Counseling office.  Applications are due by May 20, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by May 6, 2019.

The  Middlesex County Blue Star Mothers-CT3 2019 Scholarship – The Blue Start Mothers of America, Inc. is a Veteran Service Organization chartered by the U.S. Congress and made up of mothers who have or had children serving our country in the military. The Middlesex Country Blue Star Mothers formed here in CT to honor and serve our troops, veterans, mothers of families of our military.  The $750 scholarship will be awarded to a CT high school senior who will be attending a four-year college and who has a parent (or legal guardian) actively service in the military or who is an honorably discharged Veteran. Military service includes the Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and National Guard and Reserves.

The Milford Columbus Committee Inc. Memorial Scholarships for 2019Three scholarships up to $2,500 will be awarded by the Milford Columbus Committee for this year’s graduating class. Each recipient must be a Milford resident attending public or private school, must be of Italian descent (one or both parents being Italian), and be a graduating senior who is planning to pursue further education upon graduation. Applications are available in the Counseling Office.  Applications must be received by May 3, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by May 12, 2019, and your Counselor is required to submit all entries.

The New Haven Mineral Club Scholarship – The New Haven Mineral Club is offering a $1,000 scholarship in the Greater New Haven area. The Scholarship is designed to assist a student pursuing an academic study in Science, (Geology, Mining, Chemistry, Physics, Metallurgy, Material Science, Engineering, and other related Science fields. To receive an application, send a written request to: New Haven Mineral Club, Frank Karsmarski, 69 Woodvale Drive, Northford, CT 06472. Applications must be received by April 20, 2019. The Rowland R. Strong and Edith H. Strong Memorial ScholarshipThe scholarship was established at the bequest of Miriam S. Strong in memory of her late parents. Annually, at least two 4-year scholarships will be awarded to Oxford residents in their senior year of high school who meet their criteria. The student must be a resident of Oxford, CT, but the applicant does not need to attend Oxford High School. Information and application can be accessed through the Oxford Public School Website under Quick Links: www.oxfordpublicschools.org.  Applications must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019.  Due to your Counselor for processing by March 15, 2019.

The Shore Haven Jr. Baseball Scholarship – The Shore Haven Jr. Baseball will be offering three $250.00 scholarships plus the Joseph Morrell Sr. Scholarship to 2019 high school graduates who plan to further his/her education this fall. The students must have participated in the League for at least two years.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office, and are due by May 15, 2019.  Due to your Counselor for processing by May 1, 2019.

The Sisters’ Project 2019 Scholarship for Wallingford Residents – The Sisters’ Project is an organization committed to raising funds in support of cancer patients and their families. The scholarship will provide $2,000.00 for a graduating senior who is a Wallingford resident; each student must be a cancer survivor or have an immediate family member who has been afflicted by cancer (mother, father, sibling, legal guardian). For more information and application, visit www.thesistersproject.org. Applications are also available in the Counseling Office. Applications must be received by May 1, 2019. Due to your Counselor for processing by April 2, 2019.

The Watershed Fund Scholarship – The Watershed Fund provides college scholarship grants to deserving high school graduates who intend to enter an accredited university or two-year or four-year College to pursue studies in the environmental sciences. Students must be a resident of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority district. For more information and application visit www.thewatershedfund.org. Applications are also available in the Counseling Office. The application deadline is Friday, March 29, 2019.  Due to your Counselor for processing by March 15, 2019.

Wallingford Elks Lodge 1365 Peter A. Wasilewski Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is open to any student who resides in Wallingford, is currently in high school and will be attending college this fall. Applications are available in the Counseling Office. Applications can be dropped off at any time before and up to the due date at the Wallingford Elks Lodge, 148 South Main Street; if any questions please contact Joe Doll, Wallingford Elks 1365 Scholarship Chair at 203-631-2857 or email jcdoll040@sbcglobal.net.
