Christian Fillion '19 achieves Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts of America

On November 23, Christian Fillion '19 was recognized at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. The event opened with a prayer from Christian's grandfather, Al Ramadei '50 and Monsignor David Walker, St. John Bosco Parish. Christian's brother, Max '14, was the Master of Ceremonies, while his brother, George '12, presented him with the Eagle Scout Charge. Dignitaries Jamie Cosgrove, Branford First Selectman, and Sean Scanlon, CT State Representative presented Christian with plaques of Eagle Scout Recognition.

Leading up to Christian's rank advancement, he completed over 300 service hours for the community, hiked over 130 miles, and camped approximately 50 nights. He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow scout recognition society. Christian’s Eagle Scout project was constructing The Shoreline Greenway Trail Tabor Drive Kiosk, which is a trailhead kiosk that benefits the CT shoreline community. He coordinated efforts, enlisted volunteer hours from other scouts, scout leaders and family in building and erecting the kiosk on Nov. 25, 2017.

Congratulations, Christian!

Also in attendance: Head Soccer Coach Chris Ciuca, Assistant Coach Omar Espinosa '97, and Mrs. Kathy Matthews.
