Myles Ligon '22 Visits the U.S. Capitol
On Thursday, September 26, 2019, Myles Ligon ‘22 (pictured left), along with 999 members and Teens of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., descended upon Capitol Hill to put advocacy into action.
These students, representing 247 chapters from 33 states, conducted 252 congressional meetings with their respective State Senators, State Representatives, and their staff.
In addition to political advocacy, Ligon regularly volunteers at the soup kitchen on Yale’s campus. He plays soccer and tennis at ND and is a member of the Model UN team.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is the oldest African American family organization in the United States, dedicated to nurturing future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.
