50th REUNION CLASS of 1973!
MAY 19-20, 2023
So far, plans include golf on Friday at Orange Hills and a gathering at Stony Creek Brewery on Friday night. Your 50th Reunion celebration continues on Saturday with special events at Notre Dame in conjunction with our 74th Commencement. That day, the 50th Reunion Class processes behind the graduates and is recognized during Graduation (which only lasts an hour!) Following Graduation, you will each be presented your Golden Diploma and you will gather on stage for a Class of 1973 photo. Following the Golden Diploma ceremony, your class will head to Anthony’s Oceanview in New Haven for your 50th Reunion Celebration. Over the course of the weekend, we will also pay special tribute to your deceased classmates.
Yes, it’s time to give back to the school that meant so much to all of us! The 50th Reunion Gift is a special tradition that benefits the students at ND today!
Dear Classmates,
It was nearly 50 years ago when our class walked the halls of Notre Dame, sharing laughs and enjoying each other’s company. We have nearly come full circle to our 50th Reunion!
We are four months away from Reunion Weekend and our Reunion Committee has been working hard to put together a weekend full of activities. Our 50th Reunion Weekend is scheduled for May 19-20, 2023. We have planned a golf outing on Friday morning at Orange Hills Country Club and an informal Class Night at Stony Creek Brewery on Friday night (spouses/guests welcome). On Saturday morning, we will participate in Notre Dame’s 74th Commencement. Our class will process behind the graduates and will be recognized during Graduation. Following Graduation, we will each be presented our Golden Diploma and will gather on the stage for a Class of 1973 photo. Following the Golden Diploma ceremony, our class will head to Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven for our 50th Reunion Celebration.
After sharing and hearing many stories of our time at Notre Dame and the brotherhood we developed, our committee believes it is important to support current and future ND Men in their Notre Dame education. Toward that end, we have decided to establish the Class of 1973 Memorial Scholarship in honor of our deceased classmates. Our goal is to raise $73,000 for our Class Gift! With 65% of ND students receiving financial assistance, we know our gift will truly have an impact. We collectively agree that our Notre Dame experience was a seminal event in our transition from child to adult. It continues to be an essential foundation for young men today and in the future. We welcome gifts of any size and remind you that all donations are tax-deductible. Enclosed is a gift form and return envelope for your convenience. Contributions can also be made online at https://www.notredamehs.com/1973.
Whatever the size of your gift, it is your participation that matters most.
More details will follow in March so please save the date and make plans to join us in May. Feel free to contact any of our committee members with any questions.
Regards,
The Class of 1973 50th Reunion Committee
