  • Maternity Leave Substitute - Physics

Reports to: Vice President for Academic Affairs/Science Department Chair

Notre Dame High School is seeking an enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge in physics to join our Science faculty for a maternity leave of absence in the Fall of 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize an engaging teaching style that employs various modes of instruction
  • Teaching three sections of ninth grade Conceptual Physics, one section of 10th grade Chemistry, and one section of AP/UCONN Early College Experience (ECE) Physics  
  • In order to teach the AP/UCONN ECE physics course, applicants must be eligible for temporary UCONN ECE Instructor approval, which requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in physics and two years of experience teaching high school physics, OR a masters degree or PhD. in physics.
  • Be an advisor to 13 senior students
