Invest In Your Future

Notre Dame is committed to assisting students and parents in making a high quality Catholic education affordable. In keeping with our Catholic Holy Cross mission, we aim to make a Notre Dame a diverse, inclusive learning community.  We encourage you to review the information here and contact us if you have any questions or need additional guidance regarding your options. Our goal is to make planning for your educational expenses as easy as possible.

Tuition Assistance

Thanks to the generosity of loyal alumni and donors who value the Notre Dame experience and the importance of Brotherhood, Notre Dame is able to offer a variety of resources to help make an ND education possible including Merit Scholarships, Need-Based Grants, and payment plans. Families requesting tuition assistance are required to complete a new application for Tuition Assistance every year. The Financial Aid Committee meets annually to distribute scholarships and grants before Course Registration for the following academic year.  Students receiving an award are required to return the Award Acknowledgement letter to formally accept the award. Entering freshmen are awarded tuition assistance upon admission.

Merit Scholarships

Each year, Notre Dame offers 10 academic scholarships to the incoming freshmen class. The Admissions Committee selects recipients based on entrance exam results.  The top two students are awarded $5,000 each ($20,000 over 4 years at ND), while the next eight students are awarded $4,000 each ($16,000 over 4 years at ND). Awards are renewed annually, provided the student maintains a healthy academic and discipline record.

Need-Based Tuition Grants

Notre Dame offers a limited number of grants for families with demonstrated financial need.  Depending upon the total demonstrated need from families presented to the Financial Aid Committee each year, tuition assistance grants typically range from $1,000 - $4,000.

Tuition 2018-19

Tuition for next year is $15,100. In addition to tuition, each student is charged a $200 activity fee and the cost of their e-textbooks. Notre Dame families should know that the actual cost of a Notre Dame education is $17,000. Through the generosity of parents, alumni and donors who believe in the mission, value, and outcome of a Notre Dame education, each student receives a school grant of $1,900 resulting in a tuition that is less than the actual cost to educate.  As a school community, we remain grateful for the gifts that enable us to advance the mission of a Notre Dame education for all students.
