Notre Dame High School is pleased to welcome Mike Chapkovich '79 to The Legacy Society of Our Lady, which honors generous benefactors who have made commitments to the legacy of Education in the Holy Cross Tradition through their planned gifts.

Now retired in Rockport, Maine, Mike enjoyed a distinguished career as a civilian supporting the U.S. Navy, beginning as a mechanical engineer and culminating as chief of staff to a two-star admiral. He has included Notre Dame in his estate plans to endow a future scholarship for deserving students.

"I'm happy and proud to be able to endow a future scholarship at Notre Dame as part of my estate," Mike shared. "I hold dear many fond memories of my time at Notre Dame. The education and life lessons I received prepared me well for a productive professional career supporting the U.S. Navy. The advancements Notre Dame has made since I graduated are impressive and deserve alumni support. I hope my contribution will assist future deserving students in excelling at Notre Dame and in life."
