Knights Take the Stage: You Can't Take It With You Delights Audiences

Notre Dame High School's winter theatrical production brought the house down February 27 through March 1, as 40 talented student performers and crew members took the stage in a spirited performance of the classic comedy You Can't Take It With You.

The beloved Pulitzer Prize-winning play, written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, delivered exactly what audiences hoped for — laughter, warmth, and a timeless reminder that life is best lived on your own terms. The production drew enthusiastic crowds across its three-performance run, filling the auditorium with energy that was impossible to miss.

What made this production especially meaningful was its truly collaborative spirit. Students from six different schools came together to bring this story to life, reflecting the kind of community-minded ethos that lies at the heart of the Notre Dame mission. From the leads to the crew working behind the scenes, every participant contributed something essential to the production's success.

You Can't Take It With You follows the wonderfully eccentric Sycamore family — a household where everyone pursues their own passion without apology — and the comic chaos that ensues when their world collides with conventional society. Its celebration of individuality and the importance of family resonated deeply with both performers and audiences alike.

Congratulations to the cast, crew, and the faculty and staff who guided this production. If you were lucky enough to be in the audience, you witnessed Notre Dame students at their creative best — and if you missed it, watch for what's coming on the NDHS stage in the fall.
